Dr Reddy finished his MBBS in 1983 and MS (ENT) in 1988 from Sri Venkateshwara University, Tiruparthi in India. He worked as a General Practitioner and ENT surgeon in India, Libya and Yemen before migrating to Australia in 2006. In the same year, he successfully completed the Australian Medical Council Part I, his first Australian exam and was placed first out of the 301 candidates sitting the exam.

He then joined Sir Charles Gardiner Hospital in Perth and after working in various hospitals in Perth and Alice Springs (NT), he joined MMC in 2010 as a GP Registrar and became a Fellow in 2011.
